We believe that God has revealed Himself to us in two important ways -- through His creation and through His written word.
The apostle Paul said in Romans 1:20:
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
By the creation around us we can see that God exists as the Creator and Designer. However, we can only determine what God wants for us is to look into the written word He inspired for us.
Again, the apostle Paul tells us this in 2 Timothy 3:14-17:
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
By these two sources of God's self-revelation, we can know that "He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek after Him" (Hebrews 11:6).
By these two sources of God's self-revelation, we can see that God is our Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, Savior and much, much more!
We believe that we should trust God's word as fully inspired and completely authoritative in all aspects of our lives upon this earth.
Everything, however, is summed up in the person and work of Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word. As such, Christ is our main focus.
Join us in our quest to follow Christ as His disciples. He promises to transform us as we do not "conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [our minds]" (Romans 12:2). This transformation happens over time as we walk with the Lord and His people. Paul said:
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
You will not be disappointed though the way is straight and narrow (Matthew 7:13). That is, the way is as narrow as one man -- the Mediator, the Redeemer, the "God-man" -- Jesus Christ. Walk with us on the journey as we learn to "spur one another on toward love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:24).
